This project is a rebranding of the Wooden Nickel, a restaurant in Kirksville, Missouri. The aim was to modernize the brand while maintaining the retro, homey vibe it had before. The main typeface is a bold slab serif, which embodies the crossroads of modern and retro, and lively textured illustrations are used alongside photography to highlight the menu at Wooden Nickel. The posters advertise the standout features of the Wooden Nickel, including its bar, Woody's Down Under, its specials, and the Deck, an elevated outdoor porch that offers a memorable dining experience.
